Long before Lifegivers Co. had a name, the heartbeat was already forming: believers receiving the life of Jesus and giving that life away.
At Good News Church, Nate learned what it looked like to build a culture around evangelism and empowering people to give life. While preaching about evangelism, he issued what became the first Shockwave Challenge: share the Gospel with one person a day for seven days.
He realized he could not issue the challenge as a pastor without taking it himself. Seven days became more than 100 consecutive days of sharing the Gospel, documenting the journey, learning through awkward moments and breakthroughs, and discovering that evangelism was not merely an assignment—it was part of Jesus’ mandate to make disciples.
Those journal entries eventually helped give birth to the book Shockwave. Years later, in 2019, Nate and Kristen moved their family to the Midlands of South Carolina believing God was sending them as reinforcements. Lifegivers Co. grew from that calling.
